Pre-Surgery Preparation
Contact lens usage
|
|
Prior to surgery, it is important that contacts NOT
be worn for the time specified by the doctor. Failure to follow the
doctor's advice may result in the surgery being postponed, or poor
results after the surgery. |
The following are general guidelines
regarding contact lens usage. Dr. Siems
and his medical staff reserve the right
to amend these recommendations based
on a patient's specific needs.
Soft contacts/disposable, or daily wear (not toric) should generally be
out at least three to four days.
Soft toric contacts should generally be out for 7 - 10 days.
Gas permeable or hard PMMA lenses should generally be out for a minimum
of 6 weeks.
* The doctor will advise you of your specific needs.
