Intacs are synthetic crescent shaped corneal implants that are currently
authorized in the U.S. for treatment of nearsightedness and astigmatism
associated with keratoconus. The Intacs procedure is intended to improve
the functional vision of the keratoconic patient with or, in many
cases, without contact lenses or glasses. |
