Overview
The Visian ICL is an implantable contact lens that works in concert with
the natural eye to correct your vision. Unlike traditional contact lenses
that go on the surface of the eye, the Visian ICL is surgically inserted
into the eye. The Visian ICL is placed in the posterior chamber of the eye,
behind the iris and in front of the eye's natural crystalline lens. Because
the natural lens is kept in place, the ICL is called a phakic lens.
The ICL is made of collamer, and advanced lens material that is highly tolerated
and allows the lens to remain in the body for a lifetime.
