Criteria for ideal candidates
21 - 45 years of age.
-3 to -20 D of myopia.
Currently ICL are approved for myopia only. Hyperopia and astigmatisms
will be correctable in the future.
No history of ophthalmic disease such as glaucoma, iritis, or diabetic
retinopathy. |

Extreme refractive errors - Lasik is not generally recommended
for patients whose myopia is greater than 12D. |

Thin corneas - The cornea is the clear curved surface on
the front of the eye. Unlike lasik, the vision ICL does not have any
effect on the cornea and therefore may be appropriate for patients
with thin corneas. |

Dry eyes - Vision ICL does not cause or contribute to dry
eyes. |
